About Me
For the love of writing
I am a Lebanese born American, clinical psychologist and bio-clinical researcher by training, turned writer for the love of it.
My first novel, Veil of Silence, describes the trials of a young teenager in war-torn Lebanon as she grapples with societal expectations and parental pressure, while finding a way to secretly rebel against her fate. Come discover this small Mediterranean country’s culture and traditions – though at times antiquated – through my writings.

Born in Lebanon, my childhood and developmental years were marred by the Lebanese civil war. To escape the fear and anxiety, I sought refuge in books, reading until my candle expired.
Aspiring for a better future away from the uncertainties and fears of war, I left Lebanon with my husband and lived in France for two years before moving to the USA.
Home in the US is Guilford, Connecticut where my children were born and where I lived with my family for more than a decade.
Guilford, Connecticut
Guilford is known for its award-winning town green, its picturesques beaches, and lakes, and its beautiful forests. It also boasts a collection of historic homes including the oldest stone house in North America – the Henry Whitfield House.
I worked mostly as a researcher, first in academia and then in the pharmaceutical industry.
At the age of fifty-five, I gave up my hectic life as a bio-clinical researcher to focus on creative outlets such as writing and painting. Check out excerpts of my writings and see some of my paintings below. I also enjoy pottery and singing.
Wherever you are in Switzerland, you are only a few hours away from the beautiful Alps where I enjoy year-round hiking.
